My comp stated at 10 am I didnt do my first lift till 11:30 or so.
First lift was squat. Had 3 shots at a max effort lift. I hit all 3 lifts and on my 3rd was able to squat 475 and it felt good.
Bench was next. Hit my first two. My last lift was a 25 lb PR if I hit it... 375 just wasnt on the plate. I will try it again in June.
Dead lift was last and I had 20 min from my bench till my deadlift. I was warming up with 455 and it felt good.
Hit my opener of 565 with no problem
Hit my 2nd at 585 with not problem
3rd lift was 605. I needed to keep the bar tight against my legs and be fast. They gave the "Bar is ready" and I left everything on the table. The plates came off the ground and the bar was in contact with my shins. Made it to my knees (lost some skin) All I had to do was push my hips and lock out.
Hold it till they say down... hold... hold. "DOWN!"
605 in the books! I have been chasing this for a year! I could not be more happy.
Ended up with 1st place in my weight class
