From backpacking, Manmping, hiking, and urban exploring, there is much to be seen out there and we are the seekers.
You may have noticed HG's new logo and mantra on our 2013 shirts: DEFINE BEYOND YOUR REACH - Race • Explore • Adventure • Crawl • and Hike
Currently the GoExplore blog has three subcategories:
1. Urban Exploring
What if someone told you you didn’t have to go far for adventure. That exploration, even in the heart of the city could be just around that wall, up that ladder, or under that street? If you had no vehicle or means for escape, where would you find new ground for you to survey, discover, investigate the infrastructure and find your place? People climb hills all the time just to feel something different, scope out their surroundings, and to figure out what makes the word and even them tick. Too much of the world is not ours anymore to pry up with a stick and find out what squrimy things lie beneath previously unbeknownst to us. What framework runs below and holds us all up, what’s behind the wall behind the wall, and what memories and photos can we bring back to share. Some things like this are forgotten to the past, ready for the rediscovery and some are unclearanced to us to see.
That didn’t used to stop us before, even when our hands were much smaller. Why choose to let it now?
These urban adventures appeal to the explorer and photog in me at the same time- the adrenaline is a bonus.
2. Backpacking
You only thought the best campsites were at your vehicle down the end of a long 4wd road. You were wrong again. They are 14 miles away from where you parked, just across the slippery rocks, over the scree covered mountain, and downstream in the deep canyon.
Remember how much fun it was to wear your backpack at school when one book weighed 1/4 you body weight and one book was all your pack would hold anyway having to leave all your others back in your locker? What if I told you they still made backpacks, even bigger ones now, and you can put whatever you want in there instead of leaving it at your locker/camp, allowing you to make anywhere in the world your desk or fire ring.
Believe.
3. Hiking
Plain and simple. You put one foot in front of the other until you reach a destination. The better the local, the harder you are going to work.
In Colorado you hike hard to get up to the pretty spots and then you get to low gear it down when it’s leave time.
In AZ it’s the opposite. If you want to see something pretty, get ready to unsteadily not lose to gravity on the steep controlled slide in and then somehow trick yourself into climbing on your hands and knees back up and out to return home to the heat that erodes your soul.
Yet another reason to full backpack it.

There is a review section too that we hope to grow.
