You will need the following items.
Acrylic paint (color of your choice)
Lint-Free cloth
Tooth pics
70% or better Isopropyl alcohol
Gun Oil
Card stock (Cup O' Noodle packaging works)
Remove the grip, selector, selector detent, and selector spring. Set aside and don't loose any parts.
Clean the area well with the alcohol. Clean a larger work area in case you slip with the paint. Allow it to fully dry.
I'm using white for my SAFE pictogram. Using a toothpick, dip it into the paint, then dab generously onto the engraving or pictogram.
With some card stock, squeegie the paint until it fills the area.
While the paint is still wet, dampen a lint-free cloth with some alcohol. Wipe off the excess paint with the cloth. Try not to press on the pictogram or you will lift the paint right out. Just lightly wipe. Watch my video (at the bottom for a little technique I use).
Most of the paint should wipe off clean. If not, dampen another lint-free cloth and wipe over the area. It should loosen the extra paint. If not, don't worry. It will wear away on it's own pretty fast. If you are anal about it, get some paint thinner, dampen a lint-free cloth and wipe off the excess paint.
Enjoy!
