Last month I had Andrew at LetzRoll do some much needed upgrades. He replaced my 3.73 gears with Yukon 4.88, added an ARB compressor and Yukon Zip Lockers. There was a hiccup in the project but we got it all figured out. Last week I replaced my worn rear shocks with some replacement Teraflex 9550s under their lifetime warranty.
This weekend I spent time up in Sedona, Flagstaff, Williams, Winslow, and Oak Creek. Traveling up I-17, across I-40 and 89A was SO much easier. I was able to maintain 65 through the elevation changes and and 80 on the open highways and kept the tach at just under 3K RPM. Overall, my MPG didn't change much. Still sitting around 15-mpg for my normal driving and 13.5-mpg when I'm lead footing it on the freeways.
On the return trip today I had to detour off the Bumble Bee exit due to an accident on southbound I-17 near Black Canyon City. I tore through that 5 mile stretch and it was super smooth. Money well spent, I think.
