We are racing again this Sunday, March 17th, in Congress, AZ (just north of Wickenburg) in the season opener of the Dirt Riot Southwest series. Ivan will be my co-driver for this race.

It's at Thompson Peak ranch instead of Thunder Rock ranch. Same road as last year, just not as far down.

I would love to have as many folks as possible. Post up if you are coming and if you want to be pit crew so I can get your bands on Friday when I pre-run and register.

On a related note, Jennifer and Katelyn would like to come out Sunday for the race, but they don't want to stay all day. If you plan on just coming out for the 4500 series race and not staying all day, please let me know. They are interested in car pooling or at least following someone out there so they don't get lost accidentally.

Also, post up if you are interested in being "media" so I can give Charlene a head's up. Kinda the same rules as last time Chris and Paul were media: you get a vest, take pictures of everyone, do what we want with the pictures but we have to give a copy to Charlene, turn in vest when done, don't die.

It was nice not having restrictions like KoH and you can really get some cool shots and get closer to the action then spectators

Drivers meeting is at 8, 4400 class qualifying is at 9, sportsman and trail class start first. I don't know if we are with them, our own race, or with the 4400's. I will update after I have more info. *Technically* our class doesn't race until 1 PM, but in most of the races before they ran us early with the sport/trail classes. I'll know more Friday.

Woot Woot! Thank you Paul, Daniel, and Caleb! It was great to see you guys today and thanks for cheering us on. I won't spoil Caleb's pics, but we were "Sheenin'". We won the 4500 class and Miller won the Sportsman class driving my car, so I won twice today (once as a driver and once as an owner). Pretty cool. Ivan was a stud co-driver and it was AWESOME to have Jennifer and Kate at the race too!!!! It was their first race. :-) Thank you for picking them up and driving them home, Paul. I really, really appreciate it.

We blew out the steering box, the rear shocks, and the heater hose... but she's a strong car and no permanent damage/carnage from the day.

This guy and I had a blast!
