In the early 1700s, when the King's Loyalists were pushed back by the Patriots.
In the late 1700s, pre-American Revolution. They attempted to disarm the Colonialists via the Townshed Acts. This ended with the Boston Massacre of 1770.
In the 1940's in the Battle of Athens (as depicted in this video). The citizens stood up, revolted against the corrupt government and took their town back.

Will history repeat itself? Is this our future? Will the sheep of our nation finally rise to stand with the sheepdogs to fend off the wolves at our gates? Only time will tell...
