05 mazda 3 fix it list
#1
Yeah this isnt jeep tech, and its not anything fun.. But I have admin rights on the forum and I can do what I want ;)

Our 05 mazda 3 has some things that need to be repaired. Dealer cost is way too expensive so it looks like I will be doing it on my own. Ill list the the things that need to be fixed along with dealer estimate. As I go through Ill update my actual cost

RH turn signal doesn't auto cancel ($230)
AC compressor shuts off when fan switch is wiggled. Intermittent. ($275)
Engine mounts ($260)
Right front strut is blown ($465)
Front lower control arm bushings are worn out ($965)

Total $2,195 from the dealer

I need to price out parts online and see how complicated some of the stuff is to fix

It needs more triangulation.

I have access to AllDataPro. You can get with me and we can look up all the repair info to make your job easier.

Motor mounts on that car do not sound fun

Rockauto.com usually has good prices even with shipping.

If you want to buy local Make, Model Year is locally owned and has comparable prices compared to Oreillys and Autozone

Don't buy Vatozone parts.... you'll be kicking yourself for it within a few months.

Finally had some extra cash to start working on this

I ordered the lower control arms and struts from autopartswarehouse today

i figured since I was in there doing it, I might as well replace both passenger and drivers side. The car has 108k miles on it so its about due to replace those parts

My total with free shipping came to $332. Compare that to the dealer price for just 1 side control arm and strut of $1,430. Saved myself $1,098
