For Immediate Release:

Pit Bull Tires and Alan Johnson, #4511 LetzRoll Offroad Racing

MESA, AZ SEPTEMBER 15, 2012 LetzRoll Offroad Racing proudly announces the addition of sponsor Pit Bull Tires to the #4511 Modified Stock car of driver Alan Johnson for 2013. Pit Bull Tires is the premier manufacturer of aggressive, American made off-road performance tires. LetzRoll Offroad Racing has cars in all three classes of the Ultra4 and Dirt Riot Endurance Racing series, including 2012 National Champions in the stock and modified stock classes, as well a guaranteed KOH spot for 2013.

“Pit Bull Tires are unbelievably tough” said Alan Johnson, #4511 driver of record and original member of LetzRoll Offroad Racing. “T.C. Campbell turned me on to Pit Bulls for my personal crawler due to their versatility and great performance in all terrains. Here in Arizona, we have rocks, mud, snow, sand, and open desert. I needed a tire that was strong, aggressive, and could stand up to the abuse, yet was cost effective, so I went with Pit Bull Rockers through Andrew at LetzRoll Offroad. When it was time to start racing, there was zero discussion. Pit Bull was the only choice when it came to my car and I’ve never looked back. I’m thrilled to have Pit Bull Tires as an official sponsor for the rest of 2012 and for all of the 2013 season. It’s a tire I believe in… works great, looks great, and hasn’t let me down all year.”

With the support of Pit Bull Tires, the #4511 HigherGround4x4.com red and black car will be focused on winning the King of Hammers / Everyman Challenge race in Johnson Valley on February 7th and defending their modified stock National Championship title in the Dirt Riot Endurance Racing series for 2013. The #4511 is driven by LetzRoll Offroad driver Alan Johnson with co-drivers Geoff Larson, Michael D’Avy, and Ivan Johnson throughout the season. The ESAB N.A. / LetzRoll Offroad Racing #4493 (driven by Andrew McLaughlin and co-driver Matt Hinitt) Unlimited class car and Yukon Gear and Axle #4669 (driven by Shawn Passmore with co-driver Jim Rosato) Stock class car will also be competing in the Ultra4 and Dirt Riot racing series in 2013 along with new comer to the team, Matt Salyers. The #4493 has locked up a guaranteed King of the Hammers qualifying position for 2013 and the #4669, defending Dirt Riot stock class national champion, will also compete in the 2013 Everyman Challenge.

Our parent company has been in the same family for almost 70 years and because we are an American family-owned business we decided to have all of our Pit Bull products made here in the United States. More about the #4511 Pro/Mod team: Team LetzRoll Offroad’s modified stock entry hails from Phoenix, AZ. Alan Johnson and Geoff “Rockslapper” Larson are true “Everymen” who work regular jobs during the week so they can build their rigs and crawl the Arizona desert on the weekend. Alan is an executive at Mercer Advisors (www.merceradvisors.com) and Geoff is a body man at Dale’s Auto Collision. With the support of HigherGround4x4.com, 2012 was Johnson and Larson’s first racing season and they are honored to be a part of LetzRoll Offroad Racing. Noted photographer and graphic artist Michael D’Avy and Alan’s son Ivan Johnson also participate in the co-driver responsibilities during the Dirt Riot season. Starting as a “40th birthday present” event (to race in the 2012 Smittybuilt Everyman Challenge), the adrenaline of racing and the relationships built while building the car have created an addiction that can only be satisfied by the Ultra4 and Dirt Riot racing seasons.

#4511 Primary Sponsors: Pit Bull Tires, Yukon Gear and Axle, LetzRoll Offroad, PSC Steering, Radflo Suspension Technologies, and HigherGround4x4.com.

Man that really looks great. Your painting skills are booming.

Thanks Mike. The black stripe is flat black like the grill and windshield frame so it really ties them together (and contrasts with the glossy red well). I also think it optically lengthens the front, combined with the bigger tires, and make the rig look longer an leaner. A fun bonus is the graphic interest of the red over the passenger front... I just dig the shape. Very aggressive.
