This race is a non-points, mix it up with the best across the country race and awards ceremony.

We're leaving for Dallas EARLY Friday morning (some might say late Thursday night) due to my travel schedule and returning on Sunday, October 14th. Going to be a good time for sure and the last race of the season as we go into deep KOH prep for 2013. I have a couple spaces left in the Suburban if anyone wants to go, you can ride with me. We'll all be sharing a hotel room together, so I am going to go ahead and call Bob as my bunk mate. DIBS! You guys can fight it our for the scrawny one that just lays there...

I'd like to welcome Mr. Paul Zelez to the team! YAY! So glad you're going to be able to make the race with us.

Departure time: Friday, Oct 12th, 1 AM

Paul to meet at Alan's house.
Alan to pick up Mike and Bob on the way out of town.
Rotating driver schedule through the night.

The drive is a 15 hour drive to Bridgeport (plus a two hour time difference from Pacific to Central).

We need to be at tech prior to 8 PM, hence the early departure time. (1 AM + 15 hours puts us there at 4 PM, + 2 hour time difference = 6 PM).

We'll miss pre-running, but I connected with Big Rich and he's going to let us run the course after tech on Friday night so we're not running it cold on Saturday morning.

We'll be staying at a local hotel in one room, so I again claim Bob's Beard as my bunk mate, however, Mike is in charge of bagels.

We'll be returning Sunday, October 14th - departure whenever we wake up, eat breakfast, and get on the road.

Be sure to bring your LetzRoll Offroad KOH pit shirts or identifiable HigherGround clothing. I don't know the weather forecast yet, but I'll post once we get closer to date.

Google puts the drive at 16 hours 42 min So are they adding in the two hours?

I don't know. Mapquest says 15 hrs and 15 minutes.

iPhone showed 3 routes
I10 then the I20 16.5hr 1040mi
I17 I40 to 287 16.5 1050mi
I10 to 70 17hr & 992mi

1000 miles at 65 mph = 15.5 hours (roughly). I'm guessing iPhone is time zone adjusting.

Wish I could go but my Vegas trip put a damper on spending for awhile. Have fun! Go Alan, go.:))
