Moab work shop meet and greet
#1
When: Sat Aug 18th
When: 11am This will give you a chance to wake up and make the drive.
Where: Chandler at the Avis shop. Dobson and Warner
What: install of the CB in the brown Dodge. Tune the CB on the black Dodge and whatever other small stuff that people need help with.

If you need help getting something buttoned up for the Moab trip let us know ahead of time and we should be able to get it done.
I will be buying pizza for all that show up. I will also have a cooler for water. If you want a cold Beer you are welcome to put some in the cooler.

I will also bring my Moab trail book so you can look at some of the trails and see if something sticks out to you that is a "Must see". We can also talk about the other stuff that we can do and look at while in Moab.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Bob

Avis said we are a go for using the shop at his Dads place.
I will be working on my truck CB and front shocks.
Avis will be working on his truck.
Matt will you be working on your Jeep?

If you need directions please PM Avis (aka NotAvis).

I dont have much left to do.
I need to do my tranny filters, but the fluid may be too hot after the drive (have to drop the whole pan, no drain plug). so I may try to do that this weekend.
I got a handheld CB, so no cb install for me.
I may change my engine oil and do a once over on brakes and stuff.

Mostly. I'll be there to eat pizza and watch you guys work.

Awesome, I have all the tools you'll need, including two plastic oil drain pans for those who need. My truck needs an oil change as well. Also, If anyone is interested in dipping in the pool to cool off after or during, that is available as well.

Pizza. Beer. Moab.
That is all.
#6
I'll be out there to help.
#7
I found 2 more things to do.
fix the inner door handle on the rear pass door.
remove driver seat and check to see if my overweightness broke the bracket.

alanzona wrote:Is this a daytime or nighttime install? I am in LA the 11th, but get home around dinner time. The 18th is wide open. Of course, we could just have beer and pizza in the 18th, but I would like to help too.

If you put your pics on a site like photo bucket, then copy and paste the url you will be able to post full size pics. Thats how I do it.

They are all on flicker, it won't let me upload anything but the small size.

Daniel, make sure on the forum when you click insert image > From URL > and paste your code, that you have unchecked "Retrieve remote file and reference locally."

Or in flickr, under Share button, copy and paste whats listed as Grab The Html/BB code code

So confusing. Why'd it all change anyways??

It was in the new forum update.
It actually does have pro's.
It still allows people to upload their own photos and keep them from being overtly large.
And if you use the From URL portion with Retrieve Remote etc, then if the site you got it from goes down or out, your photo will still show since our site resaved it on our server.
But with Flickr, Photobucket, etc, unchecking it is the correct option

So this 215kb image hosted off the forum, retains all its glory and doesn't cost us money

And then this is it with the Retrieve Remote button checked so that it is hosted here for all of posterity but it is resized a bit to take up less space (85kb)
