anyone have good set of lock ring pliers?
#1
I need to take the shiny jeep transfercase apart, preferably in the Jeep. To do so I need to free up a snap ring that is only accessible through an access plug on the top of the tail cone. All of mine are too long so I can't angle them in enough because the hit the floor board above, and the one I have that is short enough is a set of snap ring pliers so it has small posts that dont engage the ring enough to open.

I think I need something like this short pair.

Where did you get em Chris? I'm looking for a small pair. I'm thinking with those and maybe lowering the tranny I should be able to get in there .

Ideally I'll find a pair that have the business end bent at a 45* angle.

I ended up cutting down the pair I had and it worked perfect.

the inside of a NP247J.

No more leaking. ...so far.

all that's left before moab is changing the tranny filters and having the tires balanced.
