Those wheels are sexy. And so are the fenders.

hmmm PS rig. I like their rocker guards but they run almost 1k for alum set or 800 for steel. I dont think I need crusher corners. I wish their bumpers were aluminum

You should do the outside ring on the wheels you want the same color as the heep.. leave the inside black. Would look sexy.

this wont be on anything over a 3. I have no expectations of making it a hardcore rig and dont really have the desire to trash a 30k vehicle on the rocks lol

trying to keep the build light weight since its my DD and I do 45 miles a day for work. Also want it setup more for exploring, hiking, hunting, camping stuff

when I get a good enough raise Ill buy a used rig and build it for racing like Alan did

Not having a fan is nice for reducing dust. However, living in AZ, that little PC is going to get HOT in your car. You need some lind of cooling system.

I've considered mounting a miniPC in my glove box, tapping into the AC vent, and have a flex hose go into the glove box to cool the PC.

Yeah Im still undecided on how to mount or if I want to go a different route for a car pc. My first thought was to put it in the center console, drill a fan hole and just do a puller fan on it so air circulates. The case is aluminum and acts like a giant heat sink. I could also just go a normal atx route and put it in the back of the rig and use a power inverter on it. I don't really want to give up one of my AC ducts to cool the PC so Ill have to see what I can come up with

Even if the case is made of aluminum, it won't work wekk as a heat sink because it doesn't make positive contact with the heat source. You need air induction.

Also, you don't have to totally sacrifice one AC duct. You just need to divert some of the air, by tapping in with some kind of 3-way coupler.

Or, it may be as simple as cutting a hole in the back of the glove box and adding two fans. One to draw and one to exhaust.

That'll depend on how the fans are set up on this mini PC.

I've always been a huge fan of the Spyderlocks. Nice build list!

Are you planning on adding any underside armor? I've been looking at the ASFIR4x4 stuff. Looks kinda cool! Thick aluminum and the 3 main pieces run about $1,200. After you remove the factory skids, your overall weight only increases about 75lbs.

I'm referring to the oil pan/tranny, tranny/transfer, and long wheel base fuel tank. Most people buy the kit to relocate the evap canister, so you won't need to skid that piece.

Hmm I havent thought much about it yet. I do like the aluminum route. The other option I was thinking of was using the cutting board plastic and bolting it on to the existing factory skids. Im trying to keep everything as light as possible and the plastic is pretty cheap too
