Hello once again
#1
It has been forever since I even thought about this group and this webpage. About an hour ago I got an automatic happy birthday message from here and remembered how nice these guys and gals were the last time I saw them at a pot luck outing kind if thing. I got on another forum and forgot all about this place. My loss.

I'm hoping to get back into things with y'all. Good people here and that's the type I need to surround myself with. So as for the Re-introduction, my name is Billy. I drive a 1993 YJ Sahara that sits on 33's and a 2 and a half inch suspension lift.

The lift and wheel combo is very common but ive found it to be very capable as well. I've beaten it up a once or twice but it has never seriously failed me. I love my rig.

I'm also in possession of a project CJ that I'm trying to rebuild to stock specs. More on that later.

Nice to see you all again.

Have a good one!

Nice jeep! Welcome! What year is the CJ you are rebuilding??
#5
This rebuild may be worthy of a technical write-up. A modern day restoration!

It's a 1978 CJ7 base model with the 258. It's been in the family from the dealership lot back in 1977 till now. Been rebuilt twice and this is the first time we've done an off frame resto.

This is what it should look like when it's done:

This is where we are at right now:

It looks like a lot but there are still the electricals to be accounted for and a few minor tweaks to the engine. But other than that we are on our way.

nice, that will be a fun build

Very cool!

What part of the valley do you live in? Sounds like a good excuse for a wrenching party / group meet.

Just moved from Glendale to Youngtown. A wrenching party would be fun, but funds are pretty much dried up right now and the project is on hold until further notice. Haha. But I'll definitely let you all know when something is about to happen.

Here's a link to the jeep build this far: BOOM.
