Camp Verde scout and camp 6-25-12
#1
FatBob, Offroadaz, 2ndchance and I headed up north this weekend to do some animal scouting. The main animal being packs of stray wild pigs that now control most major cities in North America. It's told that one of these herds is around the Camp Verde area. Because they do damage to crops, vegetation and directly affect certain game populations, there is no license needed to hunt them down. We could not be sure of their existence in certain areas so we made it more of manly scouting camping trip and pigs became bonus kill.

Cell phone pics start now:

Big bear out there

Goat Camp Spring area

Nice shaded part

Came to this overlook around noonish and it was stupid hot out

So we could either rig some shade and nap or...

...walk down here...

...and swim in here

And it was good

We couldn't find the bottom at this part of the river

After an ice cream run into town, we ended up making camp here.

In the morn, Offroadaz cooked us a great breakfast and then we headed back into the high desert to shoot at varmints.

It was a fun and tough weekend. Glad we all could make it out. It was nice being out with nature. At camp we saw bats, an otter, dualing crawfish, and a small skunk strolled a few feet in front of me while I was squatted over with a roll of TP in my hand. Good times.

I didn't have a lot of pictures. Here are a few. Feel free to insert your own captions. :)

"Be wery, wery quiet. I'm a hunting wabbits!"

"I can be a tough guy! Check out my pirate hook finger and mean snarl!"

"I think I hear something over there"

"Is that a pig in the tree? Pigs can fly, right?"

"The beard is tired after a 2 mile hike. Happiness is inside the foil pouch of this Capri-Sun. The beard is happy, now"

Was I the only one that noticed the bear claw marks and bullet holes on this sign???
