Judgement Day and the Four Horsemen
#1
It came,
It went,
and we conqured!

Who are the four horseman who dared this adventure well no other than

Alan
Matt
Russ
Scott

This group of brave souls ventured to the land known as Table Mesa (table table) to fight a demon known as Judgement Day or JD for short. Two of the warriors had run this demon a month ago and backwards at that. Well it called us back and daring us to run it the right way so we gather a couple other soldiers and we were off.

The waterfall stood before us, sans any water, mocking us and our faithful steeds. The challenge was issued and we took it. First up was Alan. He had a great start until it grabbed his rear control arms. its grasp was tight until alan tricked it by moving to the left and he was up and over.
As alan was about to dimount from his steed the gods beckoned him to do it again (alan really forgot to turn his video camera on. i really think he was jealous that matt and i ran it backwards and he wanted to try, but that is his story and he is sticking with it). After alan slayed the waterfall it was matt's turn and his climbs was effortless. Matt and his father both wearing their helms were up and over it in a heart beat and the waterfall had not idea of what had happened. then it was scotts turn with his crew crammed into his faithful steed 2nd toy. Again the assualt began and another xj made the trip over look effortless (stupid long wheel base). now it was up to me to finally slay the waterfall as it was breathing its last few breaths. Mounted on big red with lucy leading the way we attacked. Wheels over the top the waterfall tried to fight grasping for it final assault on big red it launched onto my skid plate holding tight as four wheels spin creating a cloud of smoke which finally chocked the waterfall and let me go. repositioning i entered a notch which allowed me up and over slaying the waterfall and allowing us to move on to fields of boulders and obstacles that tried to keep us off camber and in the air.
The four horsemen prevailed showing jd that it was no match for us and as we departed it invited us to challenge her again some other day and maybe with more riders for the storm it is planning to create.
the battle was not a clean one as there were a couple of injuries we suffered. alan has an appointment set up with dr. andrew to repair a field injury suffered when he was fighting the king of the hammers and lucy who was jarred loose from her mountings and in need of repair to her wood plate.
All in all a great trip. please keep matt in your prayers as he departs today for another tour. this was his send off trip and when he gets back it fj is on his list for some trail running. he has plenty of videos and pictures to keep him entertained while he is gone.
thanks you again to alan and scott for also coming out. huge kudos to scott and getting to see what his steed can do! many more adventures to come!

Thanks for the Kudos Russ. I really just followed my spotters directions and trusted the Jeep.

Russ has good video of everyone going up the waterfall (plus tons of additional pics)

I did a "fast forward" filming as well (hence my desire to do the waterfall twice and actually capture that part of the trail... LOL)

Great time with great friends. It's nice to kick it in a small group, laid back on a Saturday...
