Back way to Crown King 12/4/11
#1
Originally we were gonna do this ride Saturday but the weather and no show's put it off..... Nate and I decided to try it Sunday. Darren came along in his Ranger on 31's and did quite well..... he struggles a few places in the mud but had no problem in the snow.....

I headed up Lake Pleasant parkway to top off the tank and get some breakfast to find this;

At Pinnacle peak and 99th ave...... Was an early start to the white stuff.

I pulled over to catch these shots of the mountians we were heaeded to;

And Darren caught up to me. We then proceeded to Carefree highway and up the west side of the lake;

#3
We met Nate where the pavement ends, aired down and took off, we kept moving pretty good but still managed a few pic's;

#4
We got to the turn off from Castle Hot springs to Crown King in good time...... loked thei hubs and kept on going;

#5
We pretty much kept moving except for the play areas;

Yet another view of the lake;

This optional spot was a snotty mess and we were both denied here;

Next optional spot;

Darren needed a little help getting up the muddy hill;

The Lake is down there somewhere;

We stopped a couple of times heading up this hill looking for wreckage of a friend of Darrens and his brothers who had died rolling his Jeep off the edge up here some years back;

We made it to Crown King in about 4 hours;

We grabbed a snack and headed down the hill through Bumble Bee to I17 and headed home...... The road out was a snotty muddy mess as well but dried as we got back down by the desert...... Was a great day with great friends and great weather.......

I got videos of the optional lines that I still have to upload.

I once had a buggy until I realized what I was missing...... Now, I'm lovin the multi-use rig and dont miss the buggy trails that much at all. PLUS, even though Cristina wasn't with me on this trip, she usually is (which I like) but would never if I didn't have doors, glass and HEAT..... :D
