Here is an event all the LetzRoll racers wil be involved in.

Dirt Riot is sort of a farm league for Ultra4 racing... same rules, same cars, shorter distances and smaller entry fees.

LetzRoll will have representatives in the 4400, 4500, and 4600 classes. We are in the 4500 class (pro-mod).

What's cool is that they are having 12 of these style races all over the country, so we will have the opportunity to race up to 6 more times if we want. These are much less expensive, shorter races, yet all the fun! In this example, it's a 7 - 9 mile course that you run as many times as you can in 2 hours. Very cool.

9:30 &#8211; 10:30 &#8211; Trail classes/UTV race &#8211; One hour endurance race &#8211; Grand Prix finish

11:00 &#8211; 1:00 &#8211; 4500/4600 class race &#8211; Two hour endurance race &#8211; Grand Prix finish

2:00 &#8211; 5:00 &#8211; Ultra4 cars &#8211; Three hour endurance race &#8211; Grand Prix finish

5:30 p.m. &#8211; Awards Ceremony and After Party

I don't know if someone is coordinating a carpool type of ride down. Geoff and I are leaving Friday morning early for pre-run and tech inspection.

I am extremely disappointed, but following the advice of Andrew, my crew chief for this whole thing, even if we a steering box solution, the car won't be ready or tested in time for this weekend's race.

The work night for Thursday night is cancelled as I won't have a car to work on. Thank you each and every one for your committment. I'm sure we'l have another night soon, just not Thursday for the Dirt Riot.

Also, I do plan on attending with the LetzRoll team this weekend as a crew member and spectator, but since I'm not racing, it's up to you if you want to come down or not. I understand if the only reason was to watch me race and you want to do other things this weekend. I appreciate the thoughts and support.

Well, I didn't get to race MY rig, but I did make it into Andrew's car for the last 2 laps of the race... it was about 1 mile into the lap that I realized my chest was hurting... then I realized I wasn't BREATHING and had to force myself to breath. LOL

Shaun Passmore won the Stock class and Andrew came in 4th in the unlimited class (plus put on the best show with TWO rolls). All in all a GREAT experience and I am so stoked for KOH. I'll work up some video action and additional pictures laster this week, but here's a starter set to kinda see the action.

A HUGE thank you to Rich and the entire Dirt Riot team. Outstanding event, first class treatment and people, and just a fantastic experience all the way around.




Also great to see Ashman's buggy in person, plus getting to meet a lot of the Undertakers... LetzRoll Offroad Racing was strongly represented in the trail class, stock class, and unlimited... if only we had a pro/stock entry. LOL

I guess you could say we had a great time.

hey alan, a thought for you, will they allow you back in down there for practice runs before the hammers. would be a great warm up to use those obstacles. pics and vids are awsome.

Yes, they will. The Dirt Riot course will be set up for the next month, so we can go down there for testing...

right now the only "sure thing" is the Dirt Riot race in Congress, AZ on May 19. I need more details from Ultra4 on the Ultra4 series dates for mod/stock.

I call a spot on the next pit crew.
