My XJ came with radio and speakers. My problem is the driver's side speaker does not work. Is there anybody that is talented in the area of stereo installation. I would like to figure out how to get the speakers working correctly. The radio itselfl should probably be replaced but I am only interested in use the AUX function for my mp3 player and that portion works fine. (of course I have to remember not to put my player by my aux speaker for my cb).

Periodically, the plug comes undone. If you take out the screws holding it in the door panel, either splice in a new plug with a clip that isn't broken, or plug it in and zip tie it tight. The Aux input on the radio works great (set the input to "aux"). The rear hatch was replaced after Collateral Damage, so the rear hatch speaker connections are not hot.

I did the above with the speaker but it does play so hot. Oh well, it came with the XJ and knowing the previous owner what can I expect. Oh wait, did I say that outloud. Shoot. Sorry Alan. :(
