mud springs 10/22/11

ok here we go,
went out with upsjeep and a few from the vjc, 9 total, to mud springs.
the trail seemed like a combo of sunflower/hackberry/ck in a way. lots and i mean lots of challenges. you need lockers, 33's+, and no worry that you are going to get damaged a little. if you have no pin striping you will after this trail. the hill is really wicked and looks imtimidating at first. really have to pick you line or you can go south in a heart beat. the trail has some super tippy points in it. the blue cherry went on its side once and i had a few close calls also. few time i was rim riding.
we hit air down around 830 and finished about 5ish. one way in same way out. that in itself really created some challenges. what was easy going in really got hard coming out.
one thing i have noticed now is that for some reason a trail seems smoother going in and then coming back on it is 10x rougher. maybe it was that the xyencie had worn off and i was tired.
mud springs is on the other side of log corral trail to know where to start.
i brought out my cheap video camera for this trip and used up the 8 gigs at about an hour and a half point. need nore sd cards! this camera will eventually make it underneath the jeep for a different perspective and only being about $40 is expendible. for a cheap video camera it did ok.
major carnage for me this trip..... you ready??....... i broke my sunglasses! i know please hold back your condolences, i got over it real quick since they were cheap walmart sunglasses, i will be ok. besides that i have a couple of wires to rock lights to rewire from brush that was in the middle of the trail, this trail has not been ran in a while there were no other tracks on it so there were some 3 and 4 foot bushes we went over. i also have to rehose my air locker in front. the tube kept coming out just needs to be a foot longer.
mud springs great trail and a long day!
