That's pretty cool. Where is it? I've wanted one to convert to a SBR for awhile. $300 is not a bad price. Too bad it isn't 12ga. :)

J&G in Prescott. I am going to make the drive and get it in person. Yeah I wish it was a 12 but a .410 can be fun. I need to check my account and see if I can swing the .223 would love to each and just be done with it.

Nice buy. I'm going up to Prescott tomorrow. Too bad I can't pick it up for you. I think it still would be a straw purchase even if you pay and do the background check over the phone, right?

Nice. On Sons of Guns, the daughter had one of the 410's converted to a short barrel, installed folding stock, and painted the furniture blue. LOL. With the exception of the blue furniture, it was a sweet gun!

They did a similar gun for Mikey Tuteul from American Choppers that was 12 gauge and painted red. I want one!
Forgive my ignorance on the matter. What is a .410's use in a gun library?
The only thing we used them for in Louisiana was for younger shooters to learn how shoot a 12ga.

I wouldn't know as I started off on a .22 and 12 gauge. I thought a 20 gauge was for girls and a .410 is below that, so???

A .410 is a good option for young shooters. True. It also can be a good gun to have for home defense. Especially for the ladies, kids, senior citizens and anyone who may not be a regular "pump" shotgun shooter. I especially like a .410 semi-auto like the Saiga 410 with a shortened barrel. Here are some reasons:
1. During a panic situation, it's easier to train people to pull, pull, pull a trigger. Not as easy to train people to pull, pump, pull, pump.
2. The .410 has a much milder recoil so most can shoot it without concerns of jamming, due to improper shouldering or limp-wristing the grip.
3. Since the recoil is much lighter than a 20ga or 12ga, the firearm itself is less beefy, and will be lighter weight. The ammo is lighter, as well. Overall, a loaded .410 shotgun is a lighter firearm than a loaded 18" Mossberg 500 or Remington 870 in 12ga.
4. The lighter recoil also makes it more comfortable for people (mentioned previously) to get out and shoot more ammo for practice.
5. A .410 hollow point slug can travel at 1900fps+, pushes an 115gr+ projectile with a muzzle energy of 1000ft-lbs+. It is equivalent to a .357mag in energy but being a .41cal slug, it's sectional density allows for better transfer of energy without over penetration. 000-buck would also be a good option. It will send 3 projectiles at your target and spread the trauma faster.
6. Better controllable recoil than a .357mag, which equates to a quicker follow-up shot and transition shot to a secondary target. The accuracy of a smooth bore is a mute point because in home defense, you're generally shooting less than 25 yards.
Is it my ideal home defense gun? No. A pump action 12ga or 20ga would be ideal. However, if a 12ga or 20ga is not doable for your situation, the .410 is more than a valid choice. Probably more so than a handgun of any caliber.
For me, it would just be the coolness factor of having a saiga 410 with a 20 round magazine. :)

Great answer 2chance. Yeah V that was my original perception. We did 410 to 20 then 12 and you don't hear much about 20 anymore

Ha, Bob, maybe you need to get a paint job on that .410 when you get it. Pink?
Weird it only comes with a 4 round magazine. Looks like you can get 15 round mags for it though.

Nice! Buy both! You could always sell it for a profit later. At least, that's what I always tell myself! LOL.

Came home with three new guns in the trunk... Picked up two and then went to lunch and talked about the deal and went back so my friend could get a gun also.
