Just curious as to how everyone is shaping up?
I'm slowly getting there, but tonight was noticeably difference on the tread mill (distance, duration of run vs rest & carido)
The diet the trainer has me on sucks, but its working.

I feel good.

less than a month away. time to step up the training.

12 Days till the race! Time to get excited!

Remember, the race is 3 miles scattered with 10 obstacles, bleachers are the second to last obstacle. I would suggest to trian these last couple weeks by running 5 miles or running 3 miles, stopping every quarter mile to do a psuedo obstacle (50 push-ups, box jumps, etc).

Good Luck!

FYI - they have changed the name of the race and website to AZUrbanRace.

Good luck everyone. I don't have anything to contribute to thus thread other than moral support, but you've got that!

If you read the article, you can go to Men's Health's FB page and complain. I did. :)

they will be getting e-mails with my thoughts.

The articles say that the race may be cancelled due to the most recent lawsuit. This bothers me because the event is benefiting the make-a-wish foundation. And they are bringing kids in from the children's hospital for the event. I understand making them change, but forcing them to cancel the event and impact the charity seems too much. If it impacts the race I will never purchase men's health magazine or any of their other publications (Bicycling, Children's Health, Men's Health, Organic Gardening, Prevention, Running Times, Runner's World, Women's Health)

havent seen anything new on the lawsuit, BUT I did get my race info today

3 DAYS TILL THE EVENT!
I hope everyones training is going well, even if it isn't this will be a fun event. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water over the next few days, maybe a gatorade or two as well. This is not the week to diet, and don't forget to eat the morning of the race (I recommend PB and honey).

Our heat starts at 9:10am. I am going to try and pickup the packets for everyone on the team this week so we don't have to wait in line that morning. I'd like to get everyone together about 8am the morning of the race at or near the race site. I'm not familiar with the place, so I may just text Bob and Paul with location that morning.

After the race, a couple of us are planning to hang out and then maybe go visit the Southwest Brewfest on Mill. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Let me know if anyone has any questions. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Sat!

Matt since its a team sign up is that why you can get all the packets? I was reading the email and it shows that you need to sign the waiver and show ID to get the packet.
#34
Let me know on the packets too!
My daughter Heather is also signed up & we planned to be there about 7:45
I'll keep Yaz posted too and make sure were all able to meet up :)
#35
Bob, I think so, but everyone should please bring a signed waiver just incase.
