Here's an AR15 worth investing in...
#1
Now, here's a deal worth investing into. Palmetto State Armory is offering a M4 kit (less receiver) for $479.00 + $11.00 shipping.

The barrel is chambered in 5.56 and has a 1:7 twist. It's perfect for shooting 55-75 grain bullets.
Since it's a 5.56, you can also shoot standard .223rem.

The upper is completely assembled. It's a flat top A3 design with front sight, M4 barrel profile and flash hider.

It also comes with bolt carrier and all the bits for you to assemble your stripped receiver. Add your magazine and you're ready to rock!

I have the tools and equipment to assemble this. It takes about 30min and you're rocking!
If any of you need any help, I would be more than happy to assist. :)

Assembly instructions are all over the web. My personal favorite is this one from AR15.Com.

interesting

whats the resale value of that?

a used AR is around $699, new is around $755. receivers are as low as $59 online. so, do the math.

Group buy? I'll take one.

This is a group buy. I will buy one for each person interested.

It's in the quote so I'm pretty sure it's legally binding. Thanks for buying one for me.

What a joker. LOL. Hey Admin. can we ban this joker?!? LOL.

the only person I see getting banned is the guy who agreed to buy us all one... and then didn't. :)

So, once my free upper kit arrives, (and since I'm not familiar with building an AR-15)

Is there somewhere local to make this purchase? The receiver is the serial numbered part that has to go through an FFL, right? Or do you also order online and have shipped to an FFL?

What tools are required for assembly? Anything special or just basic screwdriver/hammer type tools?

I frequent J&G in Prescott, but where's a good ammo supplier or deals?

It's been almost 2 years. 11-18-2009. I hope the wait isn't as long for the free AR-15.

To assemble, you need a punch set that includes some small punches, some tape, a needle nose plier, small hammer, long handle screwdriver (flat or philips, depending on the kit), a large plastic ziplock bag (to catch flying springs), a protected surface to work on, and a few wood blocks to elevate the receiver when punching pins. To properly install the stock, you should have a stock wrench to tighten the castle nut. I have that tool if anyone needs to borrow it. To torque it properly, an AR lower vice block should be used along with a table vise. Again, I have those. You can come over and use those. It'll take 10mins to install that.

Yes, receivers are a serial number item. it will need to go through a FFL if purchased from a retailer or shipped into AZ. If you purchase from a local private party, then no paperwork is required. I always suggest a bill of sale, though.

AZ has many AR manufacturers. You can check most small gun shops. Check "Phx.Backpage.com" or any firearm forum under the Buy/Sell pages. I also look to Gunbroker.Com and see if there are any local dealers.

Here's a guy in Prescott that's selling on Gunbroker. I could contact him for a local purchase. His contact info is on the auction posting.

As for ammo, J&G has surplus. For better ammo, look to this special at Cabelas. They have the American Eagle Black Box for $5.49. Good ammo. Go to their web site, get the $20 off code, then order online to save some money. Have it shipped to their store for pick-up, then they won't charge you shipping.
