A/C woes! Darn Jeep! Looking for a part....
#1
Ok, I've replaced the head unit (A/C) in the thing twice, the resistor pack, the switch (4 times.)..... *Sigh* What I am looking for this time is the connector (Plug) that plugs into the back of the mode switch. Anyone know if chrysler has gotten around to supplying this yet?
Thanks!
Jason.

Two of my favorite places for finding new parts. Other than that, a good junkyard. :)

rockauto.com might have it

No luck on either of those sites! I would love to find that in a junkyard, but the only TJ's I have ever seen in a junkyard were burned to a crisp!

maybe try pick a part in phoenix?

I've never seen a TJ in one of those yards... I go there all the time for my other project vehicles. Where do dead TJ's go? Is there some ancient, secret burial ground? LOL

Have you checked AMC salvage in Glendale? 6239375899

What's wrong with the AC?

I havent heard of that place, but I will check it out now! Thank you!

The A/C is working now, but the mode selector plug (3 wires on the back of the far right knob.) is toasted and brittle. This is a very common problem in the TJ's, and it does not seem like Chrysler has addressed it properly.
