Formal introduction from a fellow enthusiast
#1
Good morning all.

I am AZLugz and also the Admin for KreationKrawler.com. I need to make a formal apology for using the logo from this site on mine and in my signature line at our parent chapter, 4x4him.org.

I had asked permission but there was a gross misunderstanding on my part of the "Fish Logo" and the actual use means the fish part only. Please accept my apology and know that all traces for the thorn and crown portion of the logo are being removed from our site. This has all been coordinated with Michael and I hope all cleared now. Please understad that there was no insult, deception or theft intended on our part, just admiration of the idea and a way to show God in our wheeling.

Again, I am truly sorry.

Now, if I am allowed to stay, I guess I should introduce myself.

I am an old guy pushin' 50 and am happily married with 4 kids, 23,21,17 and 13. I finally got smart and came to our loving Lord at age 41. We have owned quads for a while but bought our first Jeep in Dec 2005. This was one of the first sites I found for Christian wheelers in this area after buying the Jeep and the write up on Dana's sliders is what put me n to the Shrockworks sliders. Soon after, the trail master for our Church 4wd club passed away suddenly and my closest friend took over the club responsibilities and asked me to co-run the group. Next came the request for a website to show pictures of the trail rides. I had no previous in web design but with the phone and email help of a few other people the site was up in a week. That was also part of thereason for using the logo, I never had time to build one!! It has been a whirlwind ride but I thank Him that I have finally found the ministry that He has for me.

Our Jeep is a 2006 Unlimited with a 4.5" RE superflex and 33x12.50 Pro-Comp X-Terrains on black rockcrawlers. i have a skidrow engine/tranny skid and an ORFab rear can/tire carrier that I am trying to get time to put on, 8K winch on warn bumprer, CB, XM, onboard air and a few others that I forgot.

I also have an 88 Samurai that I am woring on and teaching my 13yo son to wheel in.

Thank you for the apology and on behalf of higherground4x4 we happily accept.

As for your vehicle, it seems that you have been pretty busy with it since you got it in december. You have made a good amount of modifications on it in a short amount of time. The real question is, how do you handel it offroad?

Please keep us informed on any runs you go on as will we keep you up to date. Maybe we can meet you on the trail sometime.

Thank you for posting on our board and please dont be a stranger, you and anyone from your group are more than welcome to come on and chat with us anytime.

By the way, I dont think 50 is old at all as long as you are still a kid at heart.

Your brother in Christ

How I handle it is with care. My partner for running our club has been wheeling for 23 years and is real good, he has been teaching to wheel and does not let me get to crazy. I am a bit of a chicken anyway in the jeep, I do however get a bit more wild on my quad. My jeep is a toy and I love to go out on the rocks and see what it will do but i really don't want to trash it. Pinstriping is ok and the wife and I know that sooner or later it will get a dent on the rocks, I just don't want to roll it. Pete is a lot more daring than I am! I have been through Woodpecker Mine Loop and part of Lower Woodpecker but not over the V along with most of the other trail s in FJ. I have played in Queen Valley and have been to Sunflower Mine area. There are allot more trails I have done on my quad too.

Thank you for the welcome.!!!

No need for any of that formal stuff anymore.

My growly post is formally gone. It is officially M Knight Shamalamalamalon Village speak now. "The things and color we do not speak of."

Anyway, welcome Brother Bill.

Tomorrow I'll have some off road fish stickers with your name on them. But seriously, don't put your name on them... I kid, I kid.

You'll love having them on your caravan. It's so cool when people see the Jeeps at a light or someplace stopped and they notice the Jeeps first, but then they see the fish (which is techically about eye level to most other height challenged vehicle drivers). It's crazy how many people stare at that while next to you.

Oh, yeah, great looking Jeep. You did rise up pretty fast didn't you. Not much time left I see by your profile :)

Anyway, I'll get back with you on the stickers. The other group is a group in Cottonwood that ordered some from us.

I'm glad you posted on our board. Nothing to exciting here, goofy stuff mostly, but I enjoy not having to be the only speaker for us like on the write-up stuff. I enjoy reading other's thoughts on the trips we took, getting questions from outside parties on tech stuff, and finding new friends like Rob and Geoff, and old friends like Bill.

I have a "Jesus Rocks" sticker on each side and it is fun to watch people do a double take when looking at the jeep!!! People just don't get it that us "Christers" like to play too!!

I have been tempted for a while to get a reverse image sticker for the front bumper (to be seen in rear view mirrors) that has a saying a friend of mine uses in PA.

"You lowrider is my speedbump"

I think it's cool that Skyjacker puts that sticker on all their Jeeps. Even at the shows or in spreads you can see them.

This was one of my other toys.

But, she had to go away yesterday, had to say goodbye to a near and dear friend before she killed me. I traded it in on a new quad for my wife, moved her up to a 4x4 quad like Ben and I.

We got a good deal and didn't have to put out any cash, so it was ok. Here is what she got. Its a 2007 Polaris Hawkeye 300 4x4.
