Yeah, just a little bit! LOL. It was a learning experience, though. I had fun. Let me know when you're ready to get your wi-fi project started. I'll be there!

Been having some real issues with my TJ and hoping someone here will have some real advice for me...
The problem: "Death wobble" when braking (Mostly). And brake pedal "Pulsing" when the brakes are applied. The Jeep has 107,000 miles on it and has been ours since new. Nothing has ever been done to the front end other than alignment. It has a 1.75" budget boost (Pucks) and rides on 33" BFG AT's. The lift has been on for approx 90,000 miles and has never given me any issues...

I figure I should probably replace or turn the brake rotors and drums as well as replace the pads, but what about the unit bearings? or the ball joints? or the tie rod ends? what other parts should I get?
Also, sitting in the closet, I have a 6" R/C long arm lift and slip-yoke eliminator with CV driveshaft. (I dont have the time expertise or a garage to attempt this myself... It's just been sitting there for a year... Mocking me!) LOL, any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Jason.

When It cools off I will borrow a ride on trencher (Ditch witch) from my work and we will go to town!

I also have other projects on the jeep: I need to find and replace the blower motor resistor pack (Already have the part, but cant find the darn thing!) and my airbag light came on last week... Yep! When it rains, it pours!
LOL!

Yeah, sounds like you have some work to do on that. :) You may want to post this on the Tech-Qs section. Lots of good guys here. I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.

Ok, so a little about me: I am married to a wonderful woman (Mary.) we have 3 children. James and Mason are 6 1/2 year old twins and they have a brother who is 4 (Sean.) I am a truck driver, hauling heavy equipment all over the state. I have training in auto body, electrical, welding, mechanics. I sound pretty boring in writing! LOL, not used to talking about myself... I collect chevy vehicles, mostly camaro's and firebirds...

Thank you! I'm still trying to figure the site out, but from what I have heard, this is a really good site, with great people!

I think you have us confused with someone else... LOL

Seriously, glad you're on board. If you do need any help, just PM someone or ask (like you did on the death wobble... now, I'm good at creating death wobble, not so hot a fixing it). It is a good group around here... well, except for Russ (Brotobeast). He's "special".

Here is a link to the Tech Questions section. Just go here and click the "post new thread" button at the top, title your post with the question, then add more details in the body... ready go!

Welcome. Jimmy's good people :)
You must be okay too.

Welcome!

If you only get DW while braking, start with the rotors. If that doesn't fix it post in tech and we'll try to help you figure it out from there. You're right, unit bearings, ball joints, tie rod ends could all cause DW. Start with the simple stuff that sounds like it needs done anyway and go from there.

Death wobble during braking would most like be related to a bad Hub bearing assembly!

Thats what I am afraid of! I saw a dodge ram that had the hub bearing fail in a parking lot... The whole wheel fell off!!! IT.. Fell...Off!!! WOW! That scared me.. I asked how many miles, he said 115,000. My wife drives the TJ the most and I worry about those sort of things.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'm going to try to get the rotors and pads done this weekend as well as getting the rear drums turned.
