Pittbulls vs Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar
#1
I am looking at new tires pretty soon for red. I am really tossed between Pitbulls and Goodyears. looking for inputs on what you think. one other option is a friend of mine has 4-bfg at only a month old for $525 which is very inviting. i think i am gong to stick with the 35x12.5 aspect until i longarm and stretch.

The at will never hook like an mtr or other built for rocks type of tires... the mtr is going to be a great all around tire that will get the job done. The pitbull seems to work but I'm not sure how the street life is.

Hard to argue with Bob. I agree with his assessment of the at vs the mtr. Obviously, I like what I see in the PB Rocker, but I don't have enough history to give you input either way. T.C. will tell you, though. I think he ran both types.

I don't have a lot of experience with the PB, but I can say from experience that the MTR old and new is an all around solid tire, really can't go wrong with it.

I was under the impression that all of the Pit Bull tires were bias?

All the larger size Rockers are... they have a radial line that's smaller and (I think) in the Growler line, not the Rockers. Mine are bias. Love 'em... but then again, I'm biased.

This is a tough call as i like them both and have seen them both in action i like the Pitbulls more and more everytime i go out they do something i did not think i could do,i air them down to a pretty gould buldge and when they start to fold under i know there gettin broke in and air them up a little at a time they have 10 ply sidewalls and in Arizona every body knows sidewalls are so important and they are at this point quite a bit cheaper than the goodyears. There not stickies but the compounds are pretty soft and i do not do alot of highway driving but when i do iam not worried like i would be with stickies, they are noisy on the highway but thats know problem for me as i can't hear what the wife is saying and its a good excuse, iam sure Sy will give you his report on the goodyears.....

i got to see the goodyears in action today and was very impressed with them and how they did on the trail. i have seen them on alans also but i would like to see alans on a more technical trail before i make my final pick.
