wickenburg mountain

Another trip checked off my Well's book bucket list

spent the day with a vjc run i think around 20 jeeps. this trip was set up by shar. bill and i represented hg there and met some good people. this was a fairly easy trip for me anyways and for once in such a big group there was no damage. it was a long day of wheeling that is for sure. i think i got in about 8 hrs worth out there. visited the grave site of issab bradshaw and check out a mine. about six of us spilt off to go back to wickenburg. i went back to visit my parents and have dinner with them. the rest of the group thought they had the right trail to go back to castle hot springs but later i read that they had the wrong one and ended up going back out to wickenburg. i did not take a lot of pics toooooo dusty and no one in the other seat but here is what i have 4 of them:redface:

Awesome! Love that trip. It was the 3rd run I did behind Castle Hot Springs Road and the Backway to Crown King after I got my first YJ years ago. Jennifer and the kids loved it.

thanks for sharing Russ! Great shots and a it looks like a TON of fun!!!

i want to go again but with a smaller group because there are a lot of areas to play in and also explore. the river bed is just ripe for fun. a couple of us did hit a couple of spots but we were moving a little to fast to really play hard.

Sounds like a plan Russ let's do it when I get the Xj back

Yeah we came out thru castle hot springs. Wanted to see what "The Box", just upstream from where you come out onto Castle Creek (before Briggs) looked like but we ran out of daylight.

the vjc group tried to do that route back but they took the wrong road and had to go back through wickenburg. when i do this again i want to go that route and it is in the wells book where it is at.
