Moab/CO 2011
#1
Its time to ask for some paid vacation.
Moab- sounds fun however I am not going to plan it. I have nothing holding me in AZ and no bad times other than April 30th. So you guys that can only go on the second tuesday of never need to pick the dates.

CO- Im down with whatever. I know from reading and talking about it the best time to go is near the end of summer. Just let me know.

I'll look closer at the CO brochures and stuff I have laid out at home. Was thinking July for the peak Wild... um... animal... yeah, Wildanimal Season.

I'm spending the week of March 12-20 in Moab. Colorado is probably best in late July or early August.

Just let me know when and what seat is open and I"m there :)

You owe me a coke for the one I spit all over my keyboard.

I'll consult with the Calendar Master and come up with a couple date options for a big trip again this year. I know end of April is out for me too, as I'm in Mexico for "work" again. May is pretty nasty too, so June, July, Augusty smells about right.

Id like to go in July but it depends on new job, schedule and if we bring Emma or leave her with grandparents

Late summer for CO sounds awesome. There were some trails I wasnt able to tackle a couple summers back and I'd like to give them a shot, one of them being Black Bear.

I know there is a lot of CO love going on... but I LOVE MOAB. Tough call.

Both places are on my list to visit. I'd love to tag along....

Your truck will be fine in Colorado, ASSuming their talking about Ouray/Silverton/Telluride area....... not challenging but the scenery, beauty and history is 2nd to none. I would love to go (been 3 times) but I dont ave enough vac time (Moab in May) to pull that off.

Colorado is best late July to mid August to make sure all the roads (Mainly Black Bear Pass) are open. I've been twice around the 4th of July and some roads are not open yet PLUS we were tent camping and waterbottles left out over night were frozen solid in the morning Brrrrrrr. On the contrary Silverton has the best 4th of July fireworks show in the country.

Michael, bring extra, extra, extra memory cards and batteries because you'll never run out of things to put in the lens....... I'll get some teaser pics up tonight. ;)

Have fun guys, you wont be disappointed.

There's no "tagging along" here, buddy. It would be a club trip posted in the up and coming section. Once we get a date set, schedule the time off and join the fun!
