What about your black paint job with some sort of white racing stripe? I'm picturing white across the hood area.

winner!

Black is still winning at my house (mainly because in the electoral college, Jennifer counts as CA and TX combined) and i love the HigherGround logo on the hood.

The seats, however, are "hideous". 8) Gotta find a way to freshen them up. LOL

Man I can't wait to wheel this beast...

I didn't want to change your seats yet since you'll probably wheel with them for a little while until cash comes back into play.

I'm, betting TC's praying for a black Christmas to keep out the competition. Cecil too.

Roger that, buddy.

I guess I could post up some specs and a few more pics now that it's a done deal. LOL

All Aluminum D-60 Full Float Rear (4:88 ) w/ARB's
Dynatrack Hi-Pinion D-60 Front w/CTM U-Joints ARB's.
Atlas 4.3-1T-Case
NV4500 Tranny
PSC Hydro Assist steering
40" ProComps on 20" Beadlocks
4-Wheel Disc Brakes
ORI Struts
Full Cage
Aluminum Corner guards
Alum. Rocker Guards
Currie Sway Bar
TXT Alumiflex Long Arm
and a bunch of other stuff I am going to have to learn how to use.

There is also some rattle can in my future after clearing some rust, but over all, I'm very very happy to say the least.

Congrats Alan! Very sweet rig! In for the shakedown. Let me know if you need help preppin for paint. Thinking about doing mine soon too.
#34
Is this a rig you can easily drive to and from the trails?
#35
It drives great! The tranny its got in it creates really smooth cruising, plus the hydro assist (not fully hydro) makes it steer better than my XJ. Honestly, I was surprised how well it handled. I expected it to be a rough drive. I'm not going to Washington State or anything it in, but it will get me to TM, FJ, or near areas just fine. I would feel comfortable driving it to Moab or Colorado, but I'd rather trailer it that far just for miles on the tires and eating them up. It isn't spooled, so the lockers can be turned on or off with the ARB system. I was extremely happy and confident in the drive at 70 mph on the 101 when I was testing it out. It also crawls like a mother with the Atlas fully engaged and just idles up an obstacle. Beats anything I've ever seen.

That being said, gonna have to get used to goggles as there is no windshield. That takes some getting used to. 8)

Whole thing for about what I can buy the rear axle with ARB for new... or about what the tires and rims would run me if I bought them new. I'm pleased with the deal.

Thanks man! I dont' know Troy, but stories of this rig are rolling in and they're all good about the rig... helps with the confidence level. I can't wait to get some AIST and figure it out for myself.

Thanks man... and I know! Kinda strange. We can still hang out, though. ***big grin***

It was great to see you at the Christmas party.

So happy for you Alan! Cannot wait to see it in action. You and Bob can play follow the leader a little easier now :) Looks like you could add a windshield frame pretty easily? I personally would hate not having one.
