September 17th run
#1
K, so we have another date set, for another Jeep trip.

The 17th of September (going to have to miss church for the early leave), we'll head out to Florence. We'll work our way up on Lower and Upper Ajax, and back down on Upper Woodpecker. Jared and Chris ran Ajax and Lower Woodpecker a couple years ago, but we didn't have time for Upper. But J should remember where it is, since he got chased out of that mine by the 40+ javelina's. Maybe we can get him to do it again so we will actually have it on film.

I know Daren and Brian want to makie the trip in their Chero. We may look for another couple TJ's to come along if anyone else is interested.
Ask Jared if rocker gaurds are a must.

Here's the old report on Ajax and LWP.

heard rumors that area is closed now, might want to call BLM and see

I though that was Hackberry Creek and Devil's Canyon but I'll check.

Our Plan B is Shwartzenager Land

Wohoo on another trip. Let's keep it up and do it at least once every couple of months.... that is until someone breaks something big. Knock on wood. Can't wait. Let's get a couple more Jeeps out there! Card it up!

Well, we have to go to that area now.

I just printed out another full color 3'x5' topo map pf the area. :D
Can't wait to get home (I'm at work) and mark all the trails.
You could seriously live out there for a week and not hit all the runs.
I already have the trails waypointed on my GPS.

I really want to see us make it down to the Gila from there so the Jeeps can drive straight down the river. Maybe when we do Martinez before the year's up we can hit the Coke Ovens and cross the river then.

Hey Brian, has your dad gotten a CB yet?

Badgers!
Darren and Brian can't make it this trip. :?
Oh well. We're still looking for a third or fourth Jeep for the 17th.
Probably still doing the Florence area.
We need some more photos for this year's calendar!

Too bad we don't have just a third Jeep  I used to know this guy that had a bad ace Jeep...oh.... nevermind  We will still have fun with the our pair of Jeeps, but will still need to find a few more Wranglerites sometime soon. Keep your eyes peeled!

It's a little dark outside, but from what I can tell, it's nice looking. We'll find out in the light tomorrow!

I dunno. Yours looks ok, for a Cherokee I guess.
