Higher Ground Christmas Party

Date: Friday December 17, 2010
Time: 6:30pm
Place: Hobbiton (Alans house)

What you need to bring

  • Your offroad vehicle (Cars get parked on).
  • GOOD gift for stealable white elephant exchange. $20-$25 limit per gift. One per participant, just don't get 2 lame gifts that add up to $20. Try to make it something you'd actually want.
  • Side and or desert item and a drink (like a 2L, etc). Bonus points for bringers of said food/desert containing tastefully added bacon.

HG will purchase the burgers

Everyone on the board (and fam) is welcome.
We'll have some offroad movies playing on the projectors.
As always, this will be family freindly.

Just as information, there will be small kids at the party and our pool does not have a pool fence anymore, as our kids are getting older. Since we want this to be an indoor/outdoor party, we've decided to hire a life guard from the city for a couple of hours that night so no one dies (and I don't have to constantly monitor the back yard and can actually enjoy the party). So, if you're planning on bringing your kids, we'll have a safe environment for them as well.

That is all.
#15
don't hobbits eat kids??? or is that some other type of little person?? should we also bring big people chairs and tables to sit at?
#16
Never hurts to bring extra chairs, but we should have enough tables. We hosted a community group for a couple years, so we have the 6 foot tables and 8 - 10 folding chairs (plus camp chairs, dining room chairs, etc...) so we should be fine.

And no, goblins eat kids, not hobbits. Hobbits are nice.
#17
Alan, if you'd like I have 6 ( maybe 8 ) nice folding chairs I can bring.
#18
NOW its a party. 8)

(side note: Daniel, bring the chairs just in case, please.)
#19
Will do sir.

I"ll bring some desert and some Mountain Dew and some Chips!

EDIT (Why isn't the first main post at the top of every page on this thread?

That feature is forum specific not thread specific, so it is only turned on in the Up & Come forum.
