Do you guys remember what you were doing when that first plane in the towers? I do, I was just getting up for work when I turned on the tv to see the video all over the news showing the plan hit the towers, then all of a sudden the second plan hit. Then the plan hit the Pentigon, then the plan crash in Pensylvania. The worst day is US history. All around the country people were glued to there tv's. I remember we didnt work all day all we did was sit and watch tv.

Today we remember the thousands of Mom, Dads, Son's, Daughter's, and hero's that were in those planes, buildings and on the ground that lost there lives. All I can say is you all are deeply miss and blessed by god to be in a better place!!

We all remember and never will forget

I had just fallen asleep from working my night job. Spshl J called and said turn on the TV in a weird voice. I asked what channel and he said, "It doesn't matter."
With that chilling of a line in a voice I almost didn't recognize, I went into Dana and Mom's room and turned it on while waking them. We were just in time to see the second plane hit live. Prayers and TV the rest of the day.

It was Tuesday and I didn't have class until 10:15-11:45am that day. The job I had in college was only 20hrs a week, but I was always unofficially on call. I had checked my email to do some work at home before heading to class and one of my co-workers had sent out something similar as Michael describes above. Turn on the TV, NY has been attacked. I turned it on in time to see the 2nd plane fly into the tower and about that time they were discovering the pentagon and PA flights missing also.

9/11 -- I remember. I'm very disgusted that so many people don't.

I remember getting ready for another day of 4th grade, frosted flakes is what I had for breakfast. I was only 10 but I knew that sometimes big was happening. The hosts of the Today Show were so perplexed and without any definitive facts they just kept stating they didn't know what exactly was happening. The frantic voice of somebody calling into the show with the now iconic image of smoke billowing from both towers is the last thing I saw before I went to school. The homeroom teachers had gathered in one room to watch what was going on and even long after the bell had rung kept us students outside. Some of us opened the door just enough to glimpse what was happening only to be quickly scolded by the teachers to close it. I know now it was not because they were being mean (my thoughts at the time) but that it was them trying to shelter us from the horrible truth. Eventually the TV was turned off and we were let it to begin our day. It wasn't until I got home that I found out the towers has collapsed, news I remember getting from the one and only Peter Jennings.
