So it turns out the customer knew the prison package wouldn't fly. He did it as a joke all in hopes the contraband being sent would get his friend (who doing 15yrs for holding up a bank with a pellet gun) questioned and thus out of his cell for a while.

Thats a good friend, but a true friend would be with him the cell.
