I thought there were fire restrictions in place?
#6
there are in certain places. Not where I was.

Is there a map that outlines where the restrictions are? I'm going up there in a few weeks and you can't have camping without a fire!

Side note, any chance I could borrow your transmission? Cool, thanks.

Knoll lake area there are no fires allowed, but when I was up there Bear Canyon and Woods Canyon lakes they are allowed. If you drive to where you see signs that say no campfires, turn around haha

Fire Restrictions

There are NO fire restrictions on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.

Please note, fires are prohibited during the RED FLAG WARNING. To see if the RED FLAG WARNING has been issued for the day, please call the local ranger district office or visit the National Weather Service's website: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/fgz/

Knoll Lake is on Coconino Forest http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coconino/nepa/forest-orders/04-10-04-f.pdf and thus restricted

Tonto and Coconino forests both have full fire restrictions in place. I didn't realize Apache-Sitegreaves didn't.
