Only one I could find.
------------------------------

I was updating here because I picked up an Exide Orbital battery today.
Chris has been through so many Yellow Tops, each time before the year was up that we thought we'd try something different. Lotta Nissan people swear by them. Chris had picked one up a few months ago too.
Kinda pricey, but should last and put out enough.

-------------------------------
Some guy walked in to Checker while I was there and pretty much yelled, "Who's Xterra is that out there?" Everyone was wondering what was going on and I shouted "Mine" from across the store.

All he said next was, "That's awesome! I've never seen one like that, and I sell Nissans."

Just making sure I get some cool points added to my card :red|

I just got an email vial the contact us regarding my Xterra and asking about how it's been holding up, and my opinion on it. I figured I've had time to do a long term review on it.

Let's see where we're at

2003 Nissan Xterra History

Maintenance:
Hardly any. This past year I gave in to the steering that had gotten sloppy and replaced pretty much everything up there. Other than that, only simple oil and other fluid changes.

Cons (other than IFS):
Horribly underpowered. Not too much problem in town. 4 people and gear kills it on the hills out of town. In Colorado, the altitude and hill steepness required me to be in 4Lo much of the time.
Gearing would help, but then I think of the domino line of, yeah well a locker would be better since you're in there anyway, and then it just gets into polishing an IFS turd scenario to me and a lack of money.

Front suspension squeaks like a banshee. The aftermarket lift Upper Control Arm bushings are no fun. A little dust and it's ronkee ronkee all the way down the road. Some lube spray can help -sometimes.

It's ridiculously stiff up front. Airing down below 15 is a Godsend on anything more than flat gravel.

As a result, all the thin metal on it is cracking. Nothing too structurally integral. Mostly just engine compartment brackets and what not like the thin metal on the hood latch support.

Pros:
It really has been a very low maintenance vehicle so far

Fits plenty of stuff, especially with the awesome rack.

Can sleep 2 easily inside if needed.

Still gets lots of man compliments.

I really do beat the stuffing out of it on the trail. Put it in a wash and watch me go pel mel.

That's what I got so far.
