Another new to HCR trail, Green Day and Area BFE is alot like Arizona trails where they are in dry washes and full of rocks and waterfalls. Area BFE also has test areas where you could play and test you junk and driving skill for hours...... We found the entrance to Upper Heldorado (Lower Heldorado is closed), Strike Ravine which is a rocky stair step climb that is about 200 yards long and very mellow and doable. Green day was just badass........ it is truel 2 trails that run parallel and you can try the hard stuff and if you dont like it then you can hit the bypass or bypasses..... seemed most hard obstacles had multiple bypasses all at differant levels.



We found the Green Day trail head but upon talking to Nigel earlier in the week he suggested we run it backwards and he was right........

We ran up the wash a few hundred yards and found this. In classin Moab fashion the traction was great;

After the 2nd fall, which had multiple lines;

Obstacle #3 is known as The Wedgy;

We then stopped for lunch near the top of the hill and had this view;



Cristina fixed up the boo-boo;

After realizing we went up too far we had to come back down some stuff to get back out;

finally on the main trail again;

We ended up missing part of the trail that was a challenge but would have been all down hill for us so we opted for the optional road to get out to the main road. Here we are heading back to the main parking lot.

On the way out we played only on one of the play areas;
