Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#1
Ok guys my 96 grand has the worst death wobble i have ever felt. I have replaced the track bar, replaced a loose tie rod, and checked over every piece of suspension and steering. My ball joints are in great condition, and I dont really see anything else worn or bad. I also went as far as rotating tires. I am stuck and really need help.

did you check the alignment after you did the tie rod?

Bill, I did some research tonite because I got off work early and thought I would help since I know you are extremely frustrated. Here are some articles that may help.

Since I was there for most of the work you have done to try and cure this issue. I would think balancing the tires and alignment might be the next steps.

This is just my opinion since I really haven't experienced this first hand in my Jeep nor have I had to try and cure it.

hey bill i went through this also with my jeep. it ended up being the tires that were the cause. i had the dw before i put the lift on and after it amplified to the point where you are at now. at the time i had 31x10.5 and then i went to the 33x10.5 on it now and it went away. i tried everything from the stablizer to bolts and it kept coming back. once i went with the new tires it was gone. i would get the dw on the freeway at 65 talk about scary!!.

I drove this before the lift with the tires and it had no shake. Now with the lift and tires it shakes. It ultimately has to be the alignment. I am ready to sell this thing. if I still had my other set of wheels and tires I would just put it back to stock but I dont so there isnt a whole lot I can do

Well I think i finally figured out the whole ordeal. I went back to my good control arms from my stock ones first off. My alignment was WAAAAYYYY off. My steering stabilizer was shot so I replaced that as well. I also relocated the track bar 3/4" towards the drivers side to compensate for the lift and the fact that it was way off. I drove it around for about 30 min hitting every bump at many different rates of speed and it didnt shake once. The test is driving it to work tomorrow and seeing what happens
