good weekend of wheelin.

saturday night with bill running the gas pipe line and then sunday morning i went out with kevin of kor for a trip to harquahala near aquila arizona.

the trail up was very scenic. lots of green with patches of yellow from the flowers. we made a few stops to explore a little. found lots of silver, copper and iron in the rocks while we were out there. at the top is the observatory from 1920 which is still intact.

when we came down kevin and i parted ways and i went back to wickenburg to surprise my parents with a visit from their eldest.

i will post some pictures from the cell phone when i get home from work today.

this is a nice scenic trip. not technical but lots of hair pins and steep climbs. a fullsize pick up made it up but he had to do a lot of manuvering to make it.

my fault i had forgotten the canon.

it was nice to do a trip that did not require a lot of thinking and it was relaxing. i am going to start doing more of these like mike does. this is also another check off in my wells book.
