Horseshoe Dam
#1
i went out to horseshoe dam tonight to meet a good friend and do some fishing to relax. didnt do much fishing as i was to fascinated by the dam and the spillway. it was sooo amazing walking under the spillway with all the water runnig over it. the rumble of it practically shook your body. got a few good pics from tonight. all the pics are from arounfd 8:45-9:15 pm with a almost full moon. i might go back out again during the day this week as i want to see it in the day. worth every second of driving out there imo. enjoy

yes it is. and walking under the spillway is even more amazing. as of this morning when my buddy left it was running even stronger. i might go back out there this week sometime in the afternoon. its something that does not happen very often at horseshoe.

Nice. The moon definitely added to your 8sec exposures.
Good stuff. Never seen it even close to that ay Horseshoe. Stark contrast between yours and Virgil's trip.

yes it did at to it the first few i took were 2 sec and they were just too dark to really see the fall. so i started messing with the camera and got this. the 2nd to last is my fave pic with the stars in the background and it makes it almost look like daylight.

ya its a big difference from when it was low. i was out there fishing this past summer when it was like that and i walked all under the spillway on the rocks and stuff. now i got to see the other side of the spectrum with water flowing. i know it will be opening even more as the snow melt hasnt started yet up north to much and they will have to try to keep it under control.

Hopefully it's still like that in late April. I am going to be out of state the next 2 weekends, but am thinking about hauling the boat up there when I get back!
