The attached is a report that is very long, and is the highlights of the current status on many of the land use issues.
Just a little precursor:
There are projects that the AZOHVC, well Jeff worked on, for land management organizations that are for Non-Motorized trails. At no time was the sticker money for Motorized trails used for this, the money to pay for those came from grants specifically for Non-Motorized uses.
Also when referencing the White Tanks, there is a bit of frustration on this one. We have had 4 people now state they were going to get the coords for the entrance we want and we have the support of the BLM to give us access to our trails. We have heard we would be given that access route across the STL to get to our trails. Thus far no one person has come through.
This area will be lost when the park comes in, my push is to get this area under OHV use again, work with the BLM to get those trails inventoried while this is on hold and work with them to maybe change the classification in the report and see if we can't get the city of Buckeye to reconsider when they put in the park. However if we can't show how much it means to us by even getting the GPS coords to get access, it does not look very important to the land management, nor the city of Buckeye who is working towards putting in the park.
Thanks to all those who have and are supporting our efforts to keep trails open!!!
Sorry, had to put in a link as it would not let me post this file type.
