We loaded up the car this past weekend and took off. Friday night we drove from Phoenix to Kayenta. Saturday, we drove through Moab and ended up in Grand Junction, CO. There, we visited the Colorado National Monument. Sunday, we got up to very thick fog and headed back to Moab. Our original plan was to do some hiking at Arches NP, but with the temperatures in the low 30's, we opted for some sight seeing instead. After doing a little shopping in Moab, we drove out to the Needles Overlook 45 miles south and west. Gorgeous views. Monday consisted of the drive home where we passed through the snow covered Monument Valley.
