So, the other night when I was out with Russ my front drive shaft started squeaking REALLY bad.. so, we called it a night and I headed home, when I reached 55 mph I got a slight vibration, which I expected. So, this morning I go under there and started shaking things around, and found that in the drive shaft where it slides it has about 1/2 inch play Up and Down.. which, I've never seen before in my life. I pulled it all out and checked everything else and the knuckle (where it goes into the transfercase) needs rebuilt, but the front part has that play in it and I can't figure out why.. the outer splines look okay and normal, didn't have time to check the inner ones before I had to head for work.. Any ideas? is the drive shaft shot? is it fixable and how? i"m lost on this one :neutral:

Check craigslist for a used one. Its cheaper to do and there only about 90$ or so. some times even cheaper.

yeah.. found one for 40 bucks, guy hasn't responded yet though, I hope he still has it.
