slip yoke and driveshaft
#1
was going through threads looking for someone who may have posted install of slip yoke eliminator and cv driveshaft. found nothing who has done it and how long and how hard was it. i have downloaded the instructions which were very vague and also found this on you tube which makes it look not too bad.

I did my own SYE quite easy & was able to knock it out over a 2 evening period.

broto, which kit is it?- can't see the links here at work. hack and taps are faster to do, but even the full HD shaft replacements aren't that hard. (I recommend dropping the case and doing it on a bench for the later) Just make sure you have a good pair of snap ring pliers and lock ring pliers.

it is advance adapters yoke kit and tom woods driveshaft. the kit arrived today and we will put it in friday. i will have my mech helping me get it done. from watching the two clips and reading the manuel that came with it it really doesn't look like too bad of a job to do.

i got a late start today but here are some pics of the removal so far.
notice ujoint pretty ugly. caps fell right off nothing in them. this was from the angle. when i put on the new shocks and then the front shaft it raised up the jeep enough to really throw everything off. the old shocks were not at all like the nitro 9000 i have now. i have both shafts off, front yoke is removed, transfer case drained, spedo pulled. to start my day i will be getting the bell housing off the rear. then it is into the guts and if everything goes right and it is all clean inside i should be ready to take it out to butcher jones saturday night. hear that avis. yetti is going out with his brother and a couple cousins for a romp out there.

just got home in the jeep. started about 5:30am and finished around 2pm. everything went good and runs fine. still has a low speed vibration and that is not bad at all. transfer case drops are off also. i did find that i really do not like slip rings frankly that SUCK!! that was the worst of the whole install.
i did not get anymore pics because it was only me and i was pressed to get done before we shut down work today. i will admit that the video was a huge help. i went step by step with it the whole time. i had my laptop right there the whole time.
now it is time for a shower and to relax. butcher jones is going to be a no go for me. besides being tired yetti's track bar bracket broke today8|
