Higherground 4x4 Promotion Month
February 1 - 28 2010

We'll be printing more HG4x4 cards, so make sure you get yours before the start of the month. When you see an awesome Jeep that meets the minimum requirements out on the trail or even just in a parking lot, card it! Jotting a little note on the card-back with something like "Nice Jeep!" and your board name will help personalize it and help your referral credit. I've found that it helps if you pre-write a few so it saves some time for parking lot hit and runs ;)

We'd like some more active members, more than just the standard 'once a year Crown King runners' type of crowd. And obviously we've got a plethra of Cherokee members, so this year we're gonna try to pull in some more Wranglers. We'll base your referrals on a point system but you need to make sure that your referral either makes note of your name in the referral section when signing up or you can prove they found the board through you via cell phone picture or other method.


Minimum requirements:
3" suspension lift
33" tires
2 pieces of body armour (or dents and scratches where they could use body armour)

Point system:
2 points for Wranglers
1 point for Cherokees & Grand Cherokees


Honesty clause: Obviously we're working on the honor system here. We'd like it if the newbies are in-staters and not just your friends from other forums.

Prize for referrals:
1)There will be a prize for the HG member that gets the most referrals and
2)We will have a raffle for any members who participates and collects at least one referral

If you are out or new, you can visit Skatchkins at his print shop on the NE corner of 67th Ave and Cactus and pick up a stack

Just to name a couple, ask Showboat and Alanzona (our two awesomest Chrokee drivers;))
Plus last year we doubled our site's unique visitor hits from the month before's stats due to HG member's web promotion

If I remember the story correctly with Showboat, an old member, Spshl J went to card a largely lifted black TJ, the driver was still around so they talked Jeep for a while and J told him about an up coming run (Upper Woodpecker and Ajax). The TJ invited his friend with an XJ but then couldn't end up making it but the Chero still came out and ran with us and ran with us hard. That would be our now good friend Geoff aka Showboat

This last week and a half I've handed out 7 cards, four personally.
Also while at the monster truck show, while getting a Grave Digger shirt, the vendor asked where we had bought our HigherGround sweatshirts. She immediately recognized what it represented. :cool)

I've been keeping my eye's open but haven't seen anything above stock, hopefully my luck will change...

Do XJR's count? :)=) I've seen a few of them lately.

There are other things we can do as members besides carding for promotion.

Tech Write Ups
They don't have to be a full color blow up like the ones listed on the main site. As much as I like graphic laden multi pagers, even the simplest instructions on an install or mod you did may be sought out for by someone looking to do the same with their Jeep. (see the 1040 item search list from just January).

Other Sites
You may have noticed how many hits we get from outside sources (like the VJC, NM boards, Pirate, WF, JU, etc.)
This comes from signature links, linked trips, photos, Bob's internationally known Jeep, all the calendar pimping everyone did ;) etc.

I'm sure there are other things like putting trips together, tagging, HG body paint, helping at cleanups we can do too.

We'll need to schedule another parking lot meet and car show appearance pretty soon too.

Good ideas Skatch! I do enjoy not working, but that also means I don't get outta the house much right now, so less chance on carding Jeeps:sad: When I am out, I am definitely looking side to side as I drive down the road! I did, however, fill Jonathan's wallet with some cards.

So I got out of the house today and on the way home saw a Jeep parked at Phoenix College so I flipped a U-eeee and carded my first Jeep this month.

I came home last night and carded a Jeep. It looks built but not wheeled. I think it was 2wd.
