Not since the 2004 tsunami have we faced a disaster like this. One Haitian official said his country's monster 7.0 quake may have killed as many as half a million people although sources are still uncertain of the death toll.
As I write this, I still do not know the fate of 15 of our workers there.
Bloodstained bodies are piled in the streets. The parliament building has collapsed. Hospitals, schools and orphanages have been completely demolished.
Church, government and world leaders have been killed, along with almost everyone working in the U.N. headquarters there. It's 5-story building is now a pile of rubble.
Victims need food, medicine, clean water, shelter. Without this help, even more will die.
This disaster has been described as "Hell came up." Your gift will show survivors that God hears their cries and responds through people who care.
We already have a head start with our workers already on the ground. But they urgently need additional supplies and support to save more lives.
