I's no where even close to what you can make yourself but for a while I had fun modifying the crap out of those off the shelf NewBrights. You could trim and move stuff around until you had a solid cheap rock crawler
Considering the left one was stock, you could extrude quite a bit out of them
You could cut enough on these to 90degree the axles and regear, etc

but I liked keeping the body stock so:
Last I worked on it I was long arming it and redoing the springs but I never finished it. It was a fun project with limits that kept me from spending more than $50. All home built.
