the staging area is at castle hot springs rd and crown king road. where the fork is there the staging area is on the right. i have been there a few times because that is where i air down before venturing into lake pleasant. do you have a fax number and i will send you some info on this trail from the wells book if not i will scan it at home and email it to you. the first half is easy the second half is where it goes from moderate to difficult. the last 7-8 miles is always changing with the rain and weather. how many are coming for sure with you. the trail alone will take 4-6 hrs. also check out the been and done for some video and pictures of past runs. the suz of arizona video is great because they ran it when it snowed. i am going to take it that you are meeting on the east side at 730 and then heading out to lake pleasant if that is the case then lets plan to start at 830-900. we will come out on the i-17 for the return trip.

I do not have a fax machine, so if you could e-mail it that'd be great. I asked the guy whos kinda heading this up and he said we could meet at the staging area or the gas station where we get off the 17 from (waiting for his txt back, I don't know what exit we take)

The last I heard, we have 3 XJ's going, a Silverado and You

Alright, cool. Well which ever is easier for you to meet at man. Won't matter to us either way which one. My number is 480-760-3219 just so ya have it. Name is Daniel.

Seeing as you know the area, is there a "safe" easy to get back to area to leave my truck/trailer if I decided to pull my jeep to the beginning of the trail?
#12
The staging area is huge there and alot of the quadders and bikers us it for their trucks and trailers. If you do haul up then i can ride back to there in case you need any help and then i can jam home on lake pleasant road
#13
hmm alright. tempting. Do people brake stuff up there often?

not unless your scooby. There are bypasses but you know it could be a dirt road and you still run the chance something could break. As with any trail you can make it as easy as you want or as hard as you want. Must know your limits grasshopper:)=)
#15
I know my limits... but I push them everytime I go out, which is why I am thinking about pulling it.. lol
