since fr42 was still closed i chose to do new river canyon off exit 236. what a wonderful and relaxing journey that was. i went all the way through and turned around and did it backwards. i had forgotten about the new river fire and i was reminded when i saw all the dead and burnt trees. it has really come back. this might be a good area for a night run maybe even this weeekend that is how much i enjoyed it. i seen a lot of play areas that i want to try next time when i have someone with me. here are some pics--

Haha i was up there yesterday myself. Got there pretty late so didnt get alot of time to explore. Went out that way to do some mountain biking
