Meeting Time: 9am
Place: Baja Gas Station (Beeline and Fort McDowell)
No lockers necessary, 3" or more lift recommended.
We picked a moderate (really moderate this time) to easy run this time for a more family friendly trip. We'll go out to the Beeline, then shoot across down the 98 to Bartlett Lake. The trail is not too long, so once we get to the lake, anything's game. Some of us may choose to fish, some camp or both, and others can cross the river and return home. Playing in the river is also an option. Returning home will be via Cave Creek road to Carefree.

Leaves the Beeline Hwy (SR 87) at the Sycamore Creek crossing and heads west toward Bartlett Lake on FR 98. The first part of the trail is up a rocky creek bed with a few obstacles that would challenge a stock vehicle. After the creek bed it is pretty much hard packed sand. The trails intersects FR 393 and provdes a very scenic view of the lake before heading down to the lake and to the powerline road. The powerline road comes to the Verde River, which can normally be crossed north of Rio Verde Road
