FJ ~ Geoff Larson Celebration run ~ H2H and Woodpecker
#1

WHAT A DAY!

19 total rigs (if you count 'yotas, }:) ).
At least 3 drive shafts that I'm aware of... two just on Hackle's rig!
One lost dude... :red|
Search Parties.
Lone Jerry Cans.
Camping.
Rock Rats.
Tow Straps.
Welders.
New Friends and Old.
Some dude gettin' married next week.
Inappropriate hugs from Daro when you give him a Red Bull. 8|

WHAT A DAY! The Geoff Larson H2H Celebration run did NOT disappoint. West side met at 5 AM and headed to Florence Junction by 7 AM. Driver meeting at the camp site... let's go wheelin was the decision. ONE BIG GROUP. 8|

We ran Lower Woodpecker and the Rats tore it up... evidently, they were even better the night before ;) but they showed us some incredible lines. Everyone got their feet wet with obstacles, and the trip was ON!

We then ran Upper Woodpecker on the way to H2H. Firehole was awesome. I love it when my station wagon does good. I wish I had more than two lug nuts on at the time (right front, seriously. Thanks Josh for the spares.)

Once we hit H2H, the bad luck hit. I'm too tired to fully documents. That comes later with the carnage report.

I'm beat. Broto is beat. Some folks are probably still on the trail.

I'll write more later. I'm SURE there are some killer shots and video and this is the place to post it!

Post up, my friends, post up.

Geoff and Shanda: Congratulations you two!

That's how rumors get started. :)=) I'll need someone else to fill in the entire story, but I belive the wife of one of the guys riding along had to go to the hospital and they were having a hard time reaching him.

No one from the run ended up in the hospital.

Awesome shot of Ryan's beast.
Like'n the vids Russ. Thanks.

That was the biggest frog I've seen in real life especially after it puffed up.
Also, that critter Dana and I were poking around at in its burrow was a small skunk. Guess I had never seen one up that close, plus he had barely any white. This is that stomp thing he was doing- I found it on another vid:

It's a good thing that little kit didn't get too mad....apparently they do that stamping before they spray. Sweet videos all around.

:'(:'(:'(
i was going over my jeep just making sure that everything was ok when i think i have discovered the worst damage of anyone on the trail. the carnage is so bad that i may have to permanetly park my jeep. i am not sure what i am going to do. this has really hurt me bad i am so upset. here is a picture of the damage tell me what you think i should do. i need to know if my jeep is still safe to drive like this

attachment

that's right my fader knob is busted what is a guy to do???? damn dirty apes!!
i must have flexed my jeep so much that my radio was flexing and i broke a knob. all that boohooing about drive shafts, front ends, ram assists, missing alan's taking the wrong path at the windmill and leaving gas cans in the trails. i have to deal with this a frickin broken fader knob. elizabeth i think this is the big one!! this is one for the picture junkies:clap:

I will do my best to have her out soon. It makes me sad seeing her just sit there.
